My First Tripod
just picked up a cheapie tripod yesterday. first time I've ever had one. Just a smasonite bargain special from circuit city, but i needed something for some panorama shots of our proerty in order to sell. it's got quick-release, and is a medium height fully extended (54"). no levels, though, and it's pretty light, which makes it nigh useless in all but calm weather.
hey, it was $25. i figure i'll migrate it to product photography* shots next year.
i'm picking up a butcher paper dispenser and roll, which, once i have it affixed to the wall in our new place, i can use it for seamless white product backdrops in the comfort of a small room. i can also use it for brainstorming and tear-away meeting notes. okay, it's a bit of a stretch/excuse, but i need something to tell the mrs. why i just bought a butcher paper roll dispenser and 800' of butcher paper. :-)
