Wow

Glad to see the response to the blog post has been good. I was kinda nervous jumping back on the horse, after months/years of neglect, but the previous post was just way too long for a Facebook note.

By the way, for those who are wondering, this is a Blogger.com supplied template and as such:

a.) they are the folks responsible for totally borking up the styling info for the "recent posts" in the sidebar since their upgrade this year. No idea why it's showing unstyled HTML code in the browser in Safari (and maybe others), but then again, Blogger's never been exactly Safari-friendly.

b.) it's going to be annoying to migrate that old content to a new blog, but it seems this little technical glitch is the impetus I need to start exploring. The lesson here kids is that, if you use someone else's system to roll your own ANYTHING online, you're going to have a gi-normous pain in the butt come move-out time. Just sayin'...

But again, thanks for the kind words, folks. I just had that epiphany moment where I not only thought something, but also felt I had come up with a way to express it correctly, too. Those two things don't always coincide, chronologically.

I'll try to make your visits worthwhile, though the plan is to move this blog to another domain I've been sitting on for years (here's a hint, it's my friggin' name). But I can't guarantee when that's going to happen. The inertia of free-and-only-slightly-broken is a powerful force. I think it could power a small country, in fact. I'm also not sure I'll always have something profound to post, so keep an eye on my Facebook profile, and if you are willing, subscribe to the RSS feed from your favourite RSS-reading application/service.
